I posted this on Twitter...and thought I'd share about my awesome dh here!
So dh found the tewer book today....let me backtrack...last week we went to a light display called Bright Nights. As we were driving in, there was a sign that they were selling CDs and cook books. I was like, "Cook books? For a light display?" and dh ever-so-snarkily says, "No dear, not the 'cook' you're thinking about!" I started really giggling because my own personal cook book HAD in fact arrived that very day but I didn't say anything.
My plan was to wait until he had a couple of drinks and then show him but we just haven't really drank since it arrived!
I've left it on the main counter in the kitchen though, in the box, kinda hoping he'd just look at it. Well that is exactly what happened today.
I came home from work and he had a big grin on his face and said, "Sooooo, now I know why you were giggling about the cook book!"
He didn't roll the eyes even once - he thought it was cool! How awesome is my dh???? I did fib about the cost though so shhhhhhhhh don't tell him the real price! He sat through and looked at each and every page. FWIW, he is not a fan of the beanie, LOL!

It is a book with fan pics from all of the concerts. (a couple of mine are in there!) It is very, very well done and a great souvenir. A $10 donation to Race For Hope gets you link to book where you can preview the entire thing. Almost all shows, except maybe four (?) are pictured with setlists, as well as pics of the openers and some after-show pics. The cover alone is worth it! Details here: http://www.twitlonger.com/show/1999p

I was doing the thing where you think about the past year as NYE approaches, and realized that the most outstanding thing of 2009 for me was David Cook and his fandom. Although he won AI in 2008, this was the year that my Cookmania really developed, with the most times I've seen an artist in one year, buying multiple seats for one concert, hanging out with imaginary internet fans, the never-ending Declaration tour extensions, pork beans and twitter q&a. Thank you David, thank you dc42.

For those of you looking to find a way to entertain yourselves during the painfully unfunny portions of telethons (seriously, RB and JH?)...
I highly recommend watching Whiskey headbang to Tool's "Sober."
Good stuff.

Apologies if this is the wrong thread for this (I've lost track), but I just had to post this here since so many of us "met" each other on David's thread at TWoP after getting banned by Jacob (a k a TWoP Bayliss). If you've ever met the wrath of Jacob (why do I now picture the actor from LOST whenever I type his name?), or are just morbidly curious, you have to read the last two pages of the recap thread from this past week's IGB/results show. It is all I can do to keep from posting something in the thread so nasty it will get me banned yet AGAIN, so I've come here to share with you all. I may need an intervention! ;-) The exchange appears on pp. 5-6 of the thread and begins with this post: http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com ... p=12834199Jacob responds a few posts later.

To me, this is appropriate...my favorite Ole Miss Rebel, Dexter McCluster, is now a Kansas City Chief! I hope Dave knows what a great all-purpose back they're getting!

Clearly Jacob has declined his invitation to charm school yet again. Who is allowed to treat other people that way, seriously? Mind boggling.

My favorite part about it is that all his responses are now deleted. The mod gets modded! I <3 Jacob though, even if he can be a bitch sometimes.

hahaha. I was waiting for that. I wonder if he got warned? That would amuse me to high heaven. I adore him as a recapper, but as a mod he's completely irrational. And apparently totally oblivious to the irony of his own posts.
That was some good entertainment. Bootstar, thanks for linking it before it went poof!

OK, I missed the whole TWoP exchange. Can anyone share the short, juicy version of what went down?
